RIDING HOLIDAYS on EXMOOR

Pine Lodge provides riding holidays on Exmoor in South West England  for all abilities and ages.  The holiday package includes all accommodation and riding charges - there are no extras.
We can also cater for children accompanied or unaccompanied. 

EXMOOR RIDING HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION

Guests stay in our well appointed stone holiday cottage which adjoins the stable yard.  
Breakfast can be served in your cottage if you chosen the Bed and Breakfast option rather than self-catering - Bobbie's breakfasts are second to none and just the ticket to set riders up for the day ahead.  Breakfast is also a time to discuss and plan for the days ride with your escort.
Supper is for you to arrange - either self-catering in your cottage or there are a number of good restaurants and pubs within a few minutes drive.
Lunch is also for your own arrangement, however we can provide you with a picnic lunch should you desire (please let us know of your likes/dislikes, and this must be booked along with your holiday booking so that we are prepared for you). While out on Safari rides lunch is available at our lunch-time stops, whether at Tarr Farm, The London Inn, Molland or in Withypool.

Our standard riding holiday is 6 nights - arriving Sunday and departing the following Saturday.
However we are more than happy to tailor a break to suit your own preferences, so please get in touch whether you would like to book a full week, or a weekend, or mid-week break.

THE EXMOOR RIDING

Your rides will follow ancient paths amid beautiful scenery.  The Exmoor terrain allows for occasional fast gallops, long canters and in the summer, even a relaxing swim with your horse!  We ride not only on the open moorland, but also in the wooded combes and forests of Exmoor crossing the rivers at fords or bridges.

EXMOOR RIDING HOLIDAYS FOR CHILDREN - CHILDREN'S WEEKS

During their riding holiday, all meals are included, homemade with locally sourced ingredients.  Children are encouraged to participate as safely as possible to improve their riding, horse management skills and above all to have a great time. 

We have a whole menagerie of other animals here at Pine Lodge - sheep, a pig called Gloria, chickens and bantams (many who share the stables with the horses, and produce chicks regularly!), ducks and guinea fowl, and one of most recent additions a turkey called Taurus (be warned he may well change your perception of your Christmas dinner forever as he is a very inquisitive and characterful bird!!).
There are gymkhanas, jumping and activities for the children staying with us unaccompanied - a great chance to win rosettes.
We hope they will forge long lasting friendships with people and horses alike, whilst improving their confidence and riding ability.
